ATEX Dust Extraction Equipment for Specifiers
ATEXAir manufactures and certifies dust extraction equipment in Valencia, Spain. This page collects what a design office needs to place a unit in a drawing set: dimensional data, sizing method, connection and load data, and the certification files that accompany every unit.
Documentation pack
What We Send to a Design Office
Documentation is issued per configuration, not as a generic brochure. Tell us the airflow, dust and zone and we return the file set for that unit.
Product Datasheets
Filtration area, air to cloth ratio, cleaning system, pressure drop range, filter media options and materials of construction for each frame size.
Dimensional Drawings
General arrangement in 2D with overall envelope, inlet and outlet positions, hopper geometry, access clearances and platform interfaces.
CAD and 3D Models
DWG and STEP models issued on request for the selected configuration, suitable for insertion into plant layout and clash detection models.
Weights and Loads
Empty and operating weights, support point positions and reaction loads for structural and civil coordination.
Connection Data
Duct connection sizes, compressed air demand and quality, electrical supply for the cleaning controller, and differential pressure instrumentation.
Spare Parts and Media
Bag, cartridge and valve references with quantities per unit, for maintenance schedules and lifecycle cost models.

Data We Need to Size a Unit
Send what is defined at your current design stage. Where data is still open, we state the assumption used in the selection so it can be checked later.
1. Dust Data
Material, particle size distribution, bulk density, moisture, and combustibility data such as Kst and Pmax where a test report exists.
2. Airflow and Pressure Drop
Capture points, hood or arm type, capture velocity and duty cycle, giving total m3/h and the system resistance the fan has to overcome.
3. Zone and Category
Zone 20, 21 or 22 inside and around the equipment plus the dust group, which set the equipment category and the protection concept applied.
4. Discharge Configuration
Big bag, drum, rotary valve, screw conveyor or return to process, which drives hopper geometry, headroom and support height.
5. Layout and Access
Indoor or outdoor location, available footprint and height, filter change side, walkway and platform requirements, and proximity to occupied areas.
6. Documentation Deliverables
The file set required for your project: drawings, calculations, declaration of conformity, marking detail and operating instructions.
Selection guide
Which Range Fits the Application
A starting point for a first pass selection. Final configuration follows the airflow, dust class and zoning declared for the project.
| Dust profile | Typical application | Recommended range |
|---|---|---|
| Heavy, continuous or abrasive dust loads | Wood, grain, minerals, central extraction lines | ATEXAir Titanium modular bag filters |
| Fine dust, welding and cutting fumes | Fabrication cells, laser and plasma cutting, workshops | ATEXAir Rouge cartridge units |
| Displaced air from pneumatic loading | Silos, hoppers, bulk material reception | ATEXAir Silox silo dedusters |
Certification files
Certification You Can Reference in a Specification
ATEX 2014/34/EU
Equipment designed and manufactured under Directive 2014/34/EU for use in areas with combustible dust, Group II, categories 2D and 3D.
CE No. 0052
CE marking issued under notified body number 0052, quoted on the unit nameplate and in the declaration of conformity.
TUV Nord Cualicontrol
Third party assessment and quality surveillance covering the manufacturing of the certified equipment.
Declaration of Conformity
Issued per unit, with serial number, applied directives and harmonised standards, ready for the project dossier.
Marking and Category
Equipment group, category, dust group and temperature class stated on the nameplate so the unit can be checked against the zone classification.
Instructions for Safe Use
Installation, operation and maintenance instructions covering the certified configuration and its limits of use.
